For Shopify stores
Minimum order rules that hold at checkout.
Caliper enforces your minimum order value and quantity limits inside Shopify's own checkout. And when an order gets through anyway — from point of sale, a draft order or another app — it emails you right away.
Free plan with one rule. No theme code to edit.
What it does
Set the limit once. Shopify's checkout enforces it.
Caliper adds a checkout rule to your store, so a cart that breaks your limits cannot be paid for. The shopper sees your own message, with the numbers filled in.
Minimums and maximums
- Minimum and maximum order value
- Minimum order quantity per product, variant or collection
- Packs and multiples, maximum quantity per order
- Scope by customer tag, country or B2B
Enforced in checkout
Rules run inside Shopify's checkout, not in your theme, so a shopper cannot skip them by editing the cart. Optional warnings on product and cart pages tell shoppers about a limit before they reach checkout.
An email when one gets through
Some orders never pass through checkout. Caliper re-checks every new order against the rules that were live when it was placed, and emails you about the ones that broke a rule, so you can deal with it before it ships.
See the verdict before you publish
Test a rule against a cart, then switch it on.
The rule editor checks your rule against a test cart with the same evaluator that runs in checkout, so the preview shows what checkout will do with that cart — including the exact message your shopper will read.
The orders checkout never sees
No checkout rule can reach these. Caliper still tells you.
Shopify runs checkout rules when a shopper checks out. Orders created any other way skip them — for every app, not just this one:
- Point of Sale sales at your counter
- Draft orders — staff can click “Ignore and create order”
- Subscription renewals charged automatically
- Other apps and the API creating orders directly
Pricing
Priced by active rules. Never by orders.
A cap on orders would have to stop enforcing on a busy day. Caliper's plans only limit how many rules you can have switched on.
Monitor
1 active rule. Order alerts included.
Enforce
10 active rules.
Enforce Pro
50 active rules.
Every plan includes checkout enforcement and order alerts. Moving to a smaller plan never switches off rules that are already live.
